A FANTASTIC evening where those that didn’t know about NLP learnt something new and those who knew of it were reminded of some great aspects of how NLP can be used.

With our continued personal development (CPD), we were due to have the pleasure of the benevolent Tony Almeida (ProVantage Consulting) who was going to present next month on “Future Me plc” but life has been unfair and taken someone close to him away, so we respect his request to allow him time to grieve and to re-establish his life and we wish him well.

With regards next month’s venue and at such short notice, we do have the wonderful Jenny Ray (The Decisions Director) who has stepped up to the mark to present on “Becoming a Decision Doer!!” Your decision making style and why it matters”. Jenny’s identified 7 core decision making types, of which she will be sharing with you these and talking about the difference between making decisions and becoming a decision doer! So, rather than spending an evening in front of the TV, why not come and join a group of like-minded individuals who can share experiences and ideas in a safe environment as well as gaining further knowledge of the world we coach in.

Cost for the evening is just £10 for non-members and a mere £7 for members. The venue is Lyssess House Hotel, 51 High Street, Fareham, PO16 7BQ. We meet at 7pm (Wednesday 13th June), Housekeeping and then the 30 second intros (practise our elevator speech!) at 7.30pm with Jenny’s presentation kicking off at 8.00pm until 9.00pm. We’ll have a comfort break about half way and a quick question and answer session at the end of the presentation where there’s the opportunity for us to put into practise some of the items learnt or to have others help us (or we help them) with areas in their coaching!

For those that attended, if they weren’t motivated before arriving, they certainly were by the time they left! Lisa Freemantle did an amazing job with her presentation on ‘MOTIVATION’ introducing new concepts around Motivational Maps and the nine motivators (Builder-Director-Creator-Defender-Searcher-Spirit-Friend-Expert-Star) which was a real mind opener to our own traits. Even with some technical hick-ups, Lisa kept her cool and gave a brilliant and professional presentation that was both interesting and useful. To cap it off, we had time at the end to look at the benefits through discussions and having the opportunity to raise questions and gather ‘group’ answers to those coaching questions that often occur.

The Easter break is now behind us and looking forward, what does the HCG have to offer next month? Neuro Linguistic Programming, bit of a mouth full so it’s great we know it as NLP and this is where Michael-John Smithson will be sharing ‘NLP Ideas & Techniques’ which is a fantastic way to understand the complexities of how it encompasses the three most influential components involved in producing human experience. The Neurological system regulates how our bodies function, language determines how we interface and communicate with other people and our programming determines the kinds of models of the world we create. If you’re into coaching, you’re into how people think and there’s no better way of understanding that than attending this presentation!
