Welcome to the Hampshire Coaching Group

Hampshire Coaching Group

The Hampshire Coaching Group is a friendly informal practise group for all kinds of coaches, from those just starting their training to established and experienced coaches. Southampton-based coach, Juliet Ross, runs the group.

Why have a Coaching Group?

This group was formed to enable us to meet like-minded individuals, to share thoughts and ideas, enhance and expand learning and network with fellow professionals. We want to encourage everyone to achieve his or her goals be it just starting training, complete training, build a practice or move on to the next level. Coaches in the group are graduates from “The Coaching Academy”, Noble Manhattan”, I.L.M”, “Newcastle College”, “Institute of Counselling”, to name but a few associations.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to create a participative and supportive community of coaches with the aim to:-

  • Learning and development in a relaxed atmosphere
  • Practise and develop coaching skills
  • Share success and best practise

within a confidential and trusting environment whilst maintaining a high standard of professionalism.

What’s in it for me?

This is a place where you can mix with other coaches, and brainstorm ideas in a safe and confidential environment. Each meeting gives you an opportunity to learn new skills, to practice your coaching skills, and to share tips or thoughts that may help others. Membership brings many benefits.

So what happens?

We start with the opportunity to network together and then the meeting is opened with an overview of the evening’s session and promote members’ events and workshops.

We usually have a speaker (one of the group members if possible) who will present a coaching related topic. This often includes a demonstration and together with exercises, either in duos or triads. There is then an opportunity for a short question and answer session.

Halfway through we have a break giving us another opportunity to network and make friends/connections.

We always make sure there is time to practice our coaching skills. With all the many and varied skills-sets of the members of our group there are plenty of opportunities to learn new techniques and brush up on our existing skills.

When and where do you meet ?

We meet at 7.00pm for informal networking and then the meeting opens at 7.30 p.m, on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at the Lysses House Hotel which is located in Fareham town centre with ample free parking and concludes at 9.30pm.
